The challenge that was given to me for this was that it HAD to be colored up as if with watercolors. Well, I thought it would be possible, but it proved to be a bit more technically difficult than expected. I tinkered with a lot of different brushes, and learned new things such as how to make custom brushes in Paint Shop Pro (as well as downloaded a few from some amazing folks) but for the life of me I couldn't get the look to turn out right.
Then it occurred to me, why not change the density of the brush and use stark colors on top of a flat color to get an effect that looks like a splatter effect, while giving it interesting depth for a unique look. It's not watercolor, but I think this turned out quite well all for it. It and it's companion piece, The Mighty Mike.
