It's been a fun learning experience working on comic pages with folks who do just that nearly 24/7 (or so it seems) and it's been great that they've been willing to let me have a hand in applying some foundation colors to their excellent drawings and characters.

Now sometimes the flats I put down don't remain for the final image, and by that I mean that sometimes they had a different color scheme in mind for certain parts when they got to the highlights, so it's a fun little exercise to see what was changed after I submitted the finished flats to them and see how close or how far off I might have been from their vision. Sometimes I'm really close. Sometimes, miles off.

Eh, it happens.
