I know, I'm submitting a colored piece when I owe SOO many already. Have no fear, I shall still do those. I'm learning a new coloring style and this is pretty challenging. By the time I'm done with this, I'm sure I'll have it down pat and will be able to finish up the other images in no time.
Thanks go to
for her excellent Ghost Rider lineart, which you can see here: [link]
This is to be my entry for
's Art Jam, though it isn't completed by any means. Still, this was the last day and I love the flames, so this'll be it for the moment, seeing as I have work in 30 minutes and probably won't get a chance to finish it before the deadline. >.<
I'm digging this new coloring style I'm learning. It's simplier in some respects, and the results are pretty top notch, in my opinion. Tell me whatcha think.
So far the flames are done, and most of the flats. I'm pulling the colors direct from a Marvel comic cover, so it'll be 'true to the original' so to speak. The skull is halfway done, even if it doesn't look it lol.
Again, full credit for the lineart goes to
so go check it out!
Edit 1: The gauntlets, epulents (or however that's spelled), skull, bracers, boots and pants are now complete! Chains have been flat colored. All that's left is to detail the jacket and the chains, and add a nice little fire glow on the jacket, and he be done!
Edit 2: He is DONE! Thank you for the suggestions on the flame glow, I was indeed aware...but because of it being pointed out, I decided to take it a step further and put some glow on the ground underneath'em too!
Once again, a great many thanks to Victorie for her lineart, and to
for his video tutorial on how to color in his style.
